Beretta Micro Pistol - Detailing the Beretta BU9 Nano 9mm range since it has been available for over two years.
Maybe it's because Pocket 9s have flooded the market and we've been too busy reviewing others, but somehow I get to be the first to review them. In any case, I'm glad I can get in without any pressure from my friends.

Following the Ruger LCP and Kimber Solo, but ahead of the Smith and Wesson Shield, the Beretta Nano is a semi-automatic pistol (a first for Beretta), with a locking bulb and recoil mechanism.

Holds six 9mm rounds in one barrel magazine, and one in the chamber. Important to note: The Nano will fire with or without a magazine installed.
This is an addition to the low power rifle during tactical reloading. On the other hand, there is no security to cut the store. Simply removing the magazine will not prevent accidental discharge; make sure the camera is clean.
In fact, there are no external fuses on the Beretta Nano BU9 pistol at all. Inside the Nano is a shock absorber and drop protection.
Rounded edges and no protrusions ensure trouble-free durability. The small, unobtrusive magazine release button features a Nano frame and does not interfere with shooting.

Rumor has it that Beretta's original plans called for this little guy to be chambered in .40 S&W. However, Beretta chambered it in 9mm, ostensibly because of the popularity of the 9mm cartridge;
The Nano is one of the smallest and lightest guns in its class. With an overall length of 5.63 inches, a 3-inch barrel, and a curb weight of about 20 ounces, recoil would be terrible if the Nano were chambered in .40.
The highlight of the Nano is its flexible design. You see, the Nano is built on the trigger motor, the only part of the gun that has a serial number.
What does this mean and why is it good? You can also buy FDE, OD markers in green and pink frames. This also opens up the possibility of different grip styles to suit different hand sizes.

Speaking of looks... when you first see the Beretta Nano, especially on a computer screen, you might think, "I've seen this gun before."
Maybe it's the angular lines on the frame reminiscent of the Taurus TCP or the "safety" trigger of the GLOCK. One guy explained it this way: "Like GLOCK had a one-night stand with a Taurus."
I was confused. It's neither here nor there for me. Sure, I love a good gun, but the way it shoots feels as good as it looks.
I've been writing about "try before you buy" lately, so I decided to take advantage of the rental gun crowd and give the Nano a try. Especially since it has the potential - on paper - to be a great women's carry gun.

Since my range requires me to buy ammo for my rental gun, I haven't had a chance to try the range. Nano owners have reported that the rifle can be a little picky about ammo — they prefer heavier loads than the 115-grain FMJ.
When I got to the group they gave me a box of 115 Federal white box cartridges in an all metal box. The security guards told me they don't have any other weapons.
I see this as both good and bad. I got to test the gun with some cheap ammunition, but I didn't get a chance to see how well the Nano shoots in defense.
When I got to the shooting range, I noticed that the Nano was dry. It's good, and it's good for me because I don't like to clean or oil my guns.

I had the chance to see how the Nano works in a good environment. I recommend following the manufacturer's recommendations and oiling your Beretta Nano accordingly.
The Nano has a stainless steel case with a technopolymer handle. The back is made of hard plastic.
When I held the Nano, it immediately fell into place, sitting comfortably and naturally in the palm of my hand. I held the magnet well with two fingers, no wonder the little finger was dangling.
The trigger was easily accessible without any problems. About halfway through my 50 round box, the dot pattern started to feel rough and aggressive. However, completing the remaining part was not a problem.

From 5 feet I hit the green on my first shot. This is thanks in part to the Nano's clean three-dot design. Focusing between the target and looking ahead feels better, faster and easier.
I loved the look of the Nano. Night vision is also available if you want to upgrade. When my first one got the chance, all my teams lagged a bit to the left of the apple.
That's a very long pull compared to other polymer composite pistols I like to shoot, like the GLOCK, S&W M&P, and Springfield XD, which are about five and a half to six pounds.
If you've never shot a gun before, imagine you're pulling the trigger on a cleaning bottle. Think about how much force you need to pull your finger to get the spray out of the bottle.

Some bottles release the drug easily and quickly, while others require effort.
I was expecting something like the S&W .380 Bodyguard where it felt like a ... squeeze ... before the trigger was pulled, but the Nano trigger broke faster than I expected.
It was like six pounders. The train is clean and smooth. Was this the worst trigger? Of course not. I have no complaints about the double gun.
Unloading the slide on the Beretta Nano is easy. However, it feels a little dry. This could be due to lack of fuel.
Pocket Holster, Wallet Style For Full Concealment
When it comes to recoil, the Beretta Nano is excellent. I had to remind myself that I was shooting a 9mm, not a .380.
The Nano has a high weight, which means that the slide weighs more than the handle. This helps to reduce weight and muzzle rise when fired.
With my first win and a decent group, the Beretta Nano shoots well. I had a few questionable instruments and one pilot that I thought was wrong.
As for how the Nano performed during my time, I had two issues, both of which were double power. This is probably due to the durability of the Beretta and the 115 steel jacket that I shoot.

The Beretta is definitely a contender for a concealed carry weapon. I like the rugged design, no external protection, and a little flimsiness.
It's small and easy to hide without compromising shooting. Ease of use and maintenance. Six rounds of 9mm is enough, given how easy the Nano shoots.
If you're feeling a bit more confident, get the extra magazine, which gives you two lines and more to grab.
The downside to this review is that I didn't try to test Beretta's BU9 Nano with extra ammo, which I apologize for.

The Beretta Nano is a small pistol designed for concealment. It has a technopolymer fiberglass frame and Pronox glides. Pronox is a type of ferritic nitrocemented coating similar to Tifer (as used in, for example, Glock pistols) and Melonite (as used in, for example, Springfield Armory XD and Smith & Wesson M&P pistols). Featured on the Nano is a low-profile three-dot display.
The 9mm version of the Nano holds 6 rounds in one hand box magazine, for a total capacity of 7 if the gun is loaded and the magazine is full.
