It serves as the only hospital in interior Alaska. Contract amount: $183.5 million. Expiry date: October 2006.
Aca, Barracks !Ac - 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division: accommodates 360 soldiers in apartment quarters. Each room has private sleeping and dressing areas, as well as shared bathrooms and kitchenettes. In addition, the rooms are wired for telephone, cable and Internet access. Aca, !Ac Family housing - Northern city: Enables the revitalization of the entire neighborhood through the construction of 72 family neighborhoods for younger and older people. It includes 56 three-bedroom junior NCO units and 16 five-bedroom senior NCO units. The South Cross housing estate replaces 128 inadequate family housing units that will be demolished to make room for new construction. The project consists of variously configured multi-apartment, two-story buildings that are conventionally built according to current standards on the site. Five units will be built so that they can be easily adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. Contract amount: $44.7 million. Estimated completion date: June 2008.
